Jumba has been offering affordable Virtual Private Servers since 2009 and we are working hard on the next generation of our extremely popular VPS products. Our parent company, UberGlobal, is currently in an open beta stage with a new range of affordable Australian VPS products. You can participate in the beta by trialing these VPS offerings under Virtuozzo, Hyper-V and VMware technology. As such, the new Jumba VPS menu of Virtuozzo servers will be served from an UberGlobal brand developed exclusively for the tech savvy.
Where can I find an affordable VPS right now?
Jumba's sister brand, AussieHQ provides business and mission critical hosting for some of Australia's best known brands. Currently, Jumba customers can sign up for a VMware VPS or one of the Dedicated Server Environment (DSE) products. Alternatively, customers might like to join the open beta of the UberGlobal Geek VPS, which is being developed to replace the Jumba VPS product offering.

I'm a current Jumba VPS customer, what does this mean for me?
Current customers can continue to use their VPS as they have been. You will be notified when the new range of Virtuozzo, Hyper-V and VMware products are available under UberGlobal and you will be able to either upgrade to the new platform or remain on the existing Jumba VPS platform.
Existing Jumba VPS customers should still take note of the options and information below.

VPS Backups:
All Jumba VPS servers can add the FTP backup account addon enabling you to configure your VPS to backup at regular intervals.
We recommend that in addition to configuring your VPS to backup to the mounted back up space, you regularly download copies of your stored backups as an additional level of redundancy.

VPS Management:
All Jumba VPS servers are unmanaged. We strongly recommend the use of a control panel such as cPanel or Plesk to simplify server setup and ongoing management. You should only purchase a Jumba VPS if you are confident in managing your server.

Jumba VPS in Detail
The hardware:
Jumba VPSs are hosted from state-of-the-art IBM blade centres. Each blade provides Dual Quad Core Xeon processors and at least 48 GB of PC3-10600 ECC DDR3 memory. All blade centres are powered by redundant power supplies and boast the advantage of redundant backplanes to ensure total reliability.
Each blade centre is connected to dual fibre attached SANs. Each SAN contains both production and backup storage. Production storage is driven from RAID5 protected 15,000 RPM SAS disks while backup storage is driven from RAID5 protected 10,000 RPM SATA disks.
The entire solution has been engineered to provide the highest performance VPS solution in Australia backed by unparalleled reliability.
